We have a query regarding generating a wsdl file from sap inbound proxy.

We have generated an inbound service interface. And we want to generate a wsdl file from sap proxy it self.  we have achieved it through function modules and bapis. i searched all the scn forums and didn't found any suitable thread,Please post your comments.

My requirements is to generate a wsdl file from sap proxy and that wsdl file should work in soap UI.

Sorry, but I was unable to find Information of the Parameters which can be set for the Transport Control Program "tp". I know how to modify them, but I would like to have more knowledge about what they mean and what values are possible.

For example for "T_IMPORT" or "K_IMPORT" or "LSM" or "ABAP/NTFMODE" etc.

Is there somebody who can tell me where to find a detailed overview on that?

Very recently witnessed few confusions in terms of SAP Licensing, at customer's end.

So, tried to address the most common confusion- Difference between most common SAP User License types !!

1. SAP Application Professional- With this license, user can perform Functional Operations and System Administration both. It is a full license. You can use any transaction, no matter if it’s create, change or display. The Professional License gives the user full access whether required or not. It includes Users like who performs operational-related roles supported by the SAP software, who performs system administration tasks for the purpose of managing the performance of the application and maintenance of the latest revision level, who performs any human resources task, including but not limited to administration, payroll, time management, personal development, recruitment, total reward, training, strategic alignment and workforce analysis personnel within the customer organization (such as payroll administrators, recruiter, etc.), or External or internal consultants with customizing tasks. In particular employees of business third parties are to be licensed as mySAP Limited Professional users. Those employees of business third parties that are performing functions or roles normally performed by the customer's employees, for example independent contractors, consultants or temporary employees need to be licensed as Professional Users.
2. SAP Application Limited Professional- With this license, user can perform limited Functional Operations only, and not System Administration. It can have only one Changeable transaction, and rest all will be display transactions only. With the Limited Professional Licenses, the access to various modules and items is restricted. It involves User who performs limited operational-related roles supported by the SAP software. For example, uses the SAP software occasionally and with restricted scope.
3. SAP Application Employee- Can perform Functional Operations all solely for one’s own purpose and not for or on behalf of other individuals. User who is authorized to access the licensed software solely for the purpose of executing transactions like Desktop procurement self-services, Travel planning and expense reporting, Talent management self-services including employee appraisals, employee development plans, employee training registration, employee opportunity inquiry and response and Read-only analytics.

So, in case you are currently in or close to a licensing audit, you might want to re-inspect your inventory to figure out unsuitable license types. Please be mindful, that an unused license is a total waste, and unsuitable license types can unnecessarily cost you extra. Your licensing schema should fit your needs perfectly and support your business requirements and future plans.

I need your guidance in below scenario

·        We have 2 systems configured in SAP Web dispatcher system (abc.sapcore.domain.com and xyz.sapcore.domain.com) Both are having separate PSE

·       In order to avoid cost of ordering separate SSL certificate for each new alias we have ordered wildcard certificate for *.sapcore.domain.com using Trust manager of ECC system

·        Now  we need to import the response in webdispatcher system so how this can be achieved

o   By importing SSL response in ECC system and save the new PSE and then import it in Webdispatcher

o   By directly importing the certificate response in Webdispatcher since this is wildcard certificate.

Dear Experts,

When I try to delete the client using transaction "SCC5", I get the status "Cancelled". I see the Runtime error "CALL_FUNCTION_REMOTE_ERROR" for ABAP program "CL_FINB_GN_BBI================CP" in  transaction, ST22 (see attached screenshot).

Any ideas, please?

We are currently in the process of upgrading our SAP Enterprise Portal 7.0 to 7.4 but we're facing an error regarding component validations (at least it seems so).

We already generated a new MOPZ xml stack but the error persists. If someone can give us some ideas of what can be wrong we would appreciate.

Hi all,

Please help me in solving this installation problem. I've tried installing the setup several times but every time i get this same error that :An error occurred while processing option SAP NetWeaver 7.0 including Enhancement Package 2 > SAP Application Server ABAP > MaxDB > Central System > Central System( Last error reported by the step :Instance NSP/DVEBMGS00 reached state SHUTDOWN after having state STARTING. We are upgrading from BW 3.5 to BI 7.0. We came across ASU Toolbox while reading the document "Best Practices for Upgrading to SAP NewWeaver BI 7.0". In SAP Note 623723, there is information about how to import ASU toolbox for other SAP system(s) except NW2004s(BI 7.0). Does anyone know more information about this tool?

Hi all,

I've just installed NW702 on SLES 12 with MaxDB 7.9.08.23

Now I want to update the MaxDB to 7.9.08.34 with SDBSETUP via GUI (I know i can use the command line, but not for the global listener).

When I start SDBSETUP I get some Errors:

1) libpangox-1.0.so.0: cannot open shared object file...

Solution:

- ln -sf libpangoxft-1.0.so.0.3600.3 libpangox-1.0.so.0 (in /usr/lib and /usr/lib64)

2) libpng.so.3: cannot open shared object file...

Solution:

- Installation of libpng12 (64bit and 32bit) with yast

- ln -sf libpng12.so.0.50.0 libpng.so (in /usr/lib and /usr/lib64)

- ln -sf libpng12.so.0.50.0 libpng.so.3 (in /usr/lib and /usr/lib64)

(This problem I had in SLES11, too)

3) libjpeg.so.62: cannot open shared object file...

Solution:

- Installation of libjpeg62 (64bit and 32bit) with yast

4) libtiff.so.3: cannot open shared object file...

Solution:

- ln -sf libtiff.so.5.2.2 libtiff.so (in /usr/lib and /usr/lib64)

- ln -sf libtiff.so.5.2.2 libtiff.so.3 (in /usr/lib and /usr/lib64)

Now it is running, but with many grafical errors. For example no radio buttons will be shown.

In the terminal where I startet it, there are errors:

  We have issue in viewing work flow document content from SWBP for one user. User is not able to view the document content, where as he is able to see same from some other system with same GUI version and the patch level. Please let me know if some one had this experience before.

As we know in Windows 2012 server, the .NET Framework 3.5 (and older 3.0 and 2.0) is made available as an option.

We need to install .NET Framework 3.5 (and older 3.0 and 2.0) first if we want to install MS-SQL using SQL4SAP batch file on Windows server 2012.

There are four ways has been suggested on Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 Deployment Considerations to fix this  issue. However, no any solution worked for me at first glance.

After struggling for a quite good time and going through various docs, finally I found the solution which I thought to share here.

First run the system file checker tool in your windows 2012 server as there might be chances that few files are missing/corrupt.

To Run the system file checker tool

Start CMD as an Administrator

type SFC/SCANNOW

System file checker tool scan the system files and also repair missing or corrupted system files automatically.

It will take some time to complete the scanning and repairing. Once it is completed, use any of the methods discussed on Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 Deployment Considerations to deploy .Net 3.5.1 framework on your windows 2012 server and proceed further with your database Installation.

How can I display a company specific logo on MIRO's initial screen?

I've tried editing V_169P_LOGO on SM30 and checked the "Display Logo" column.

Problem is: Whatever URL I insert in the "URL" column no image is displayed later on MIRO.

I've created /usr/sap/DEV/images and uploaded companylogo.gif there.

On the "URL" column inserted /usr/sap/DEV/images/companylogo.gif

I've tried testing by inserting "SAPLOGO" on it, which is a graphic found through SE78.

I've tried inserting "ENJOYSAP_LOGO" on it, which is the OBJECT ID. for SAP EnjoyLogo found through OAER.

Nothing worked!

Question: Where should this URL point to? Where should I upload the company specific logo?

I'm sorry if this strikes you as a simple question, but this isn't really my SAP area, I'm just trying to solve this problem for another person.

I recently had an opportunity to run a heterogeneous migration 

High level things to keep in mind.

Pre activities

1. Run database export on source system.

2. Transfer the files to target system using any secure file transfer method like winscp, filezilla etc.

3. Verify MD5 checksum using utility md5-tool

4. Look at DBSIZE.XML to get an estimate of space needed located under <EXPORT_FOLDER>\EXPORT\ABAP\DB\MSS .It is in MB.

Migration - Run SWPM
