TWS (Tivoli Workload Scheduler) and NW 7.40

Hi Guys

Does any of you have experience if TWS does work with Netweaver 7.40 ?

We are upgrading from BW/NW 7.01 to BW/NW 7.40 and are using TWS 8.6 FP2.

Anyone who has upgraded to BW 7.40 and are using TWS (8.6), that can tell if this interface still works after going to BW 7.40 or if actions, like SW updates, must be planned?

(TWS is only connected to production system and we have no possibility to test the interface between TWS and BW/NW until after the production upgrade)

Use only Internet Explorer for SAP portal

Hello,

We have a requirement to use only internet explorer for SAP portal.

When we try to use portal in any other browser, it should display a message saying "This browser is not supported for the application" (or any other message). But purpose is, the portal application should be usable in only one browser i.e Internet Explorer.

If any one have any idea on this, how this can be implemented, then please share the same. I tried to find if there are any standard SAP portal parameters, but haven't come across any.

We're facing a strange behaviour in ST02 after a system copy using MaxDB backup/restore with SWPM (backup was from our production system). When we click on history, no data is shown:

We have to click on "-> Server", then the data is shown:

Does anyone know how to make history work?

STMS asking password

Hello,

I have made a upgrading of BASIS and ABAP Support Package Level to 6.20 69.

I recreated the total stms with DEV as domain controller as initially. Transport for all landscape are working fine but when I go to stms_import and refresh import queue it asks the user ID and password of each Server (DEV, QA, PRD).

It happens every time on transport (asking password).

I appreciate any help our tip.

Thanks,

How often JSESSIONID and JSESSIONMARKID get updated

$
0
0

Hi All,

Need some help in understanding the session cookies in the SAP NW AS Java. I am using SAP NetWeaver Application Server 7.20 / AS Java 7.30

I have a web page that makes concurrent requests to the NW server using jQuery-Ajax every 30seconds.

I am seeing the JSESSIONMARKID is getting updated very often(mostly every 30secs-1 min but not consistently)and the JSESSIONID gets updated every 1-2 mins but this is particular pattern.

My doubt is does the JSESSIONID gets updated every 1 or 2 mins? My assumption was that once JSESSIONID is issued it remains same and the server keeps track when was the last user activity and based on inactivity for configured period of time the session gets timed out and if user comes back after session out with a JSESSIONID, he will be redirected to login page.

Kindly help me in understanding the JSESSIONID and JSESSIONMARKID cookie update process.

Thanks in advance for your valuable reply.

Dear all,

since today morning I am having troubles with the SAP Netweaver ABAP Trial version which has run now for over 6 months without any issues. The issues appeared suddenly and I didn't change anything to configuration / network. I am going through the forum now since a couple of hours and I have checked the following. I have read that the most common error is, that the log is full. Anyhow I have checked the log files.

1.) Logfiles: I can't see anything in the log file saying that something is wrong. Please find enclosed the log files DEV_DISP, DEV_W0 and DEV_MS:

2.) So I installed the SAP MaxDB Database Manager in order to check the logs and do an archiving. But here seems to be the issue - I can not see the NSP Database instance (see attached screenshot). But how can this be? The log file say that the db connection is ok?

3.) What is really strange to me is the Syslog in the management console --> see log3.png. Why does it say work process in reconnect status?

Does anybody have an idea how to solve this issue? Help is really appreciated and points will be rewarded.

Best regards

Maik

Hi Experts,

we have a requirement to enable the hindi language in enterprise portal & R/3. Portal configured as a hub system and aslo communicating backend with R/3 system. As per the recommendations for supporting hindi in R/3, we have upgraded R/3 from EHP4 to EHP6 SP09. We have enabled Hindi language in R/3 system. Similarly portal system also, we have upgraded  from 7.0 SP24 to 7.3 EHP1 SP11.

We are not sure Netweaver 7.3EHP1 SP11 will support Hindi for enabling in netweaver system?. Else need to upgrade any other SP level?. Waiting for your valuable solutions.

Kubendran
