Hi

 

We are planning to perform a system refresh of our QA systems (platform: Windows / SQL 2005).  The ECC system has Opentext Vendor Invoice Management 7.0 on it.

 

I was looking for some documentation explaining the Pre and / or Post system copy (refresh) activities specific to Opentext VIM, but could find none so far.

 

I have tried on Opentext website, SAP SMP and Google.

 

Are there any VIM specific tasks for system copy ?

Is there any documentation that you can lead me to ?

 

Any help / lead is appreciated.

Hi guys,

 

I'm trying to import Development Configurations, and the following message is appearing: "Could not get system landscape directory client". I'm sure is not an authorization issue, because I was able to do it with my user using a remote desktop of an external consultant. I've followed and installed everything included in the NWDS 7.3 installation guide. Is there something else that I need to do?

Hi All,

 

We are upgrading our pre-production PI system. This also serves rehearsal upgrade that we will also perform for the production system.

 

During Configuration roadmap steps, the SUM process stopped due to error occurred during the execution of the "Show validation result" step... message below.

 

Jul 28, 2014 10:00:19 PM [Error ]: The following problem has occurred during step execution: com.sap.sdt.util.diag.DiagException: Validation of deployment queue completed with error: The stack does not match the system. Probably the system was

changed after the stack was generated. Synchronize the system with SAP Solution Manager and then generate a new stack.

Software component seeburger.com/AS2Adapter is found on the system but not in the list of expected system components in the stack.

 

 

The stack xml file we are using during this upgrade is a converted copy of the stack xml generated during the upgrade of dev system. This same stack xml file was working when we applied the update in QAS. We used the report RPT_MOPZ_COPY_STACK_XML to convert the stack xml file.

 

May we ask if there is a way to exclude the component mentioned in the message so that we can still use the stack xml file, thus, we can ensure that the systems are aligned in terms of the version of the components.

 

We would appreciate your response for inputs. Thanks.

Hi SAP gurus,

 

I have a requirement to monitor the commonly used printers in our production system.

I've read in the forums that one way to do this is to implement the BAdI EFG_SPOOL_OUTPUT.

 

I was able to create my own implementation of the BAdI, and added my custom code that will log

the output device used in method OUTPUT_STATUS.

 

My BAdI implementation is already active, and there are no errors or warnings.

When I try to add an output to the spool, SE16n-> filter data from any table -> print,

the spool output is added, but it does not pass through my BAdI.

 

I've coded breakpoints to my code, but to no avail.

 

Can you share your insights on how to test this BAdI, or maybe show me how it is implemented in an application?

Hi Friends,

 

I need to enable barcode printing from sap ecc system to Citizen CL-S621 printer.

 

I've given the device type as SAPWIN but the barcodes are not coming as expected.

 

Few of the barcodes are printing fine but always coming in small letters.

 

Could some one help me to find what exact setting do I need to maintain for barcode printing

to Citizen CL-S621

hello,

 

 

Im confusing with Central Instance (CI) and SAP instance (Application Instance)

 

According to my understanding, i think SAP instance is running on all the Aplication servers. (if having 4 Application servers, in all those servers, SAP instance is running concurrently)

 

But Central instance is running on 1 of the Application servers only.

 

- How will the SAP decides on which Application should run the central instance.

Will that CI change automatically time to time.... or do we need to allocate 1 Application server as CI server, when doing the installation.

 

 

 

Is there any relationship between Message server and Central instance.

 

Does CI contains message services and enqueue service...

 

plz help me to reslove these issues

Hi,

 

On our BI Production server, in job overview there are 5 of these jobs running for almost a day now and they are taking all job spaces so no other process cant be completed. Our BC guy is on vacation so there is no one I can actually ask what to do, so please advise. Thanks

Hello All,

I have a sap distributed  system , the central instance is on windows 2003 and DB instant on windows 2008, I need to move import, export this central instance to OS win 2008.

If it possible to take a system copy only of central instance and importet on Os WIN 2008 and used the same DB instance?

Dear Colleague,

 

we have a NetWeaver Server installed in our team. It worked fine for a long time , and services activated in SICF could be accessed from browser before.

 

However, today when I tried to start service in web browser , it does not work.  so I tried the service, <localhost>:8000/sap/public/ping?sap-client=001, and I find  an ‘503 service unavailable’ error. I am sure the url is correct, so I checked if the port number 8000 is being listened, and the state is 'listening'.

 

I have no idea where is the source of the issue.  could you please provide me with a trouble-shooting path , so that I could have at least a clue.

Dear all,

 

I am trying to configure standalone web dispatchers for several SAP systems.

 

I have give the wdisp/permission_table parameter a value in the profile file.

 

After running sapwebdisp -checkconfig, I get the following errors:

I have tried to google those errors but with no success.

 

Any suggestions on how to proceed?

I am curious how other customers are addressing this issue.

We go through at least two planned outages per year (for enhancement pack upgrades, functional enhancements etc) during which SAP is unavailable for a better part of the weekend.

 

I would like to hear from those of you who have critical business processes, (like outbound deliveries etc), what you are doing to ensure the least business disruption during such outages.

 

I have heard manual processing and near zero down time options, but these still do have down times and end up disrupting the business.

To migrate the perating system (redhat linux 4.5 to 6.x) and database (Oracle 10.2.0.2 to 11g), what are the possible scenarios  and  considerations  to be taken to achieve the migration?

Hi everybody, I´m working on a PO system where I have two Java instances (POD + POQ) that share the same SLD, the thing is that in POD (Development) I can see the SAP_SLD_ADMINISTRATOR group and role, and we haven´t any trouble with assigning users etc, the thing is that when I want to export a user <XXXX> from POD to POQ that is assigned to SAP_SLD_ADMINISTRATOR group I can´t import it to POQ because in POQ the SAP_SLD_ADMINIISTRATOR groups doesn´t exists, just the SAP_SLD_ADMINISTRATOR role exists, the question is, do i need to create the SLD groups manually in POQ or do I miss something, any wizard, configuration ?

 

I don´t remember I manually create these groups in POD...

 

So, I can´t import the group to POQ because it search the user and it turns in a circular dependency.

 

Any help will be appreciated.

Dear experts,

 

I would like to ask the following question:

 

We currently have an installation with the following systems:

 

SAP ERP 6.0 Enhancement Package 7, ABAP

SAP ERP 6.0 Enhancement Package 7, JAVA

 

We also have an installation of SAP Netweaver 7.40 stand-alone.

 

I would like to know what is the difference between the following (if any):

 

SAP ERP 6.0 Enhancement Package 7, JAVA and SAP Netweaver 7.40 stand-alone

 

Do we actually need the SAP Netweaver 7.40 stand-alone now that we have SAP ERP 6.0 Enhancement Package 7, JAVA?
